Picnic Report

Cavu weather was just what the Doctor ordered for our Picnic at Mallards Landing. Great weather for flying and seven Georgia Flyers took advantage to fly in. Rick and Carol were super hosts, the food and socializing was enjoyed by all 44 attendees. There was lots of show and tell with new airplane gadgets, and a lot of interest in Doc’s P210 and Rick and Carol’s PA-18. We can never thank Rick and Carol enough for their hard work and hospitality.

Amelia Island Trip

Sadly the hard work of Sheri and Paul Platt was wiped out by Hurricane Dennis. After looking at the outer bands and resultant weather for the return flight the trip was scrubbed.

Paul and Sheri have since been contacting members to setup some one day close by trips to restaurants and interesting locations. This popup trip is a great way to get to know other Georgia Flyers better and not have weather wipe out fun group outings. She will be contacting the membership to join them. As we test our future group activities, I feel they have a great idea for regular social flight outings.

Sam will soon be laying out the plans for this popular annual October event We had a great time last year flying into seven Georgia airports. Alabama should be even more fun.
