January, 2005 Newsletter

Rise and shine and welcome 2005! As we begin a new year, I would like to thank the many, many of you who gave generously of your time and effort to create a smooth transition.

Friends, fellowship, great food, a disc jockey and dancing till last call, made the Christmas party a huge success. Many folks stayed until the bittersweet end. Please check out the pictures on the website for evidence of a great time had by all.

Our January 2005 kick-off meeting will be held Saturday, January 22, at Petite Auberge, 2935 North Druid Hills Rd., Atlanta.

Cost is $30 per person and your entrée selections include:

Choice of: Coq-au-vin or Beef Burgundy Roast, with seasonal mixed greens
Two vegetables, potatoes and bread
Choice of cheesecake or chocolate mousse. Coffee and tea
Soft drinks may be purchased at the cash bar

The agenda is as follows:

5:00–6:00 p.m. - Cash Bar
6:00 p.m. - Dinner
After Dinner - Meeting presenting the 2005 Calendar of Events

Reservations this month are to be made through the "call girls" no later than January 18th, 5:00 p.m., at which time the final count will be given to the restaurant.

As we go into 2005, the web page and newsletter will be instrumental in assuring another great year for the Georgia Flyers. We want to hear from the many of you who have flying related stories; Angel Flights, trips of interest, updated safety/maintenance information, etc., for the possibility of future publishing.
