June 2008 Newsletter

Meeting News.  Our next meeting / Lunch Bunch will be Saturday,  June 21st, 11am to 2pm at Carol and Rick's hangar during our annual picnic at Mallards Landing (GA04).   The field is private use turf, but is smooth and long. You can get approval to fly in  by including  your aircraft ID when you RSVP.    The club will provide the burgers, dogs, and chicken and the members need to bring a dish.  Don't forget your lawn chairs!  I need EVERY MEMBER  (attending or not) to please  CLICK HERE to RSVP.  I've made it as easy as one click to RSVP, so PLEASE get your reservations in no later than Wednesday, June 18th.  We have a limited number of volunteers to track headcount and if YOU don't let US know if you're attending or not, then we have to start making phone calls.  Please help us out and RSVP early!

Trip News.  22 of our members and junior members descended on Williamsburg, Virginia over the Memorial Day Weekend.  We could not have asked for more perfect weather.  The accommodations were outstanding and everyone had a fabulous time.   After a fun dinner at one of the taverns, we attended a reenactment a witch trial (photo with cast below).  Sunday, we were able to fit in a side trip to Jamestown.  Sunday evening was an elegant dinner followed by a harpsichord concert.  Please visit the Photo Gallery for more pictures of our adventure.
